Working together for a safer Pembroke Pines

I’m committed to improving and maintaining the safety and well-being of Pembroke Pines. That’s why our police and firefighters are united in support of my candidacy.

Having raised my family here, I understand just how important it is to feel secure in our own communities. Our Pembroke Pines law enforcement and first responders are working hard to keep us safe every day. And as Mayor, I’ll make it a priority to make sure they have the resources they need to continue doing that.

I’ve got a specific plan to improve public safety in Pembroke Pines:

  • Strengthening Law Enforcement Capabilities: I’m dedicated to ensuring that our law enforcement agencies are well-equipped and well-trained to face the challenges of crime prevention. Modernizing our policing technology and ensuring continuous, up-to-date training for our officers are necessary to keep pace with the changing landscape of public safety.
  • Crime Prevention and Intervention Initiatives: Proactive measures are key to tackling criminal activities before they occur. This involves bolstering programs for our youth, enhancing mental health support, and engaging in comprehensive community outreach to address the underlying causes of criminal behavior.
  • Engaging the Community in Safety Efforts: The involvement of our residents is crucial in maintaining the safety of our city. I’m committed to fostering active community participation through initiatives like neighborhood watch programs, public forums, and consistent community meetings.

As we work towards a safer Pembroke Pines, your voice and support are invaluable.

Together, we’ll create a safer, more secure future for our community.

Our new campaign ad

Last year, I launched my campaign to run for Pembroke Pines mayor, and I’m so grateful for the support I’ve received since.

Now, I’m excited to share with you our brand new campaign ad!

  • Increasing public safety by investing in our police department
  • Keeping taxes low

These things aren’t easy, but nothing worth doing is. That’s why I need your help to help spread our message across Pembroke Pines.

Let’s come together to build a better Pembroke Pines.

The Sierra Club endorses our vision for the future

We have some exciting news. The Sierra Club has officially endorsed our campaign and our vision to build a more sustainable and environmentally responsible Pembroke Pines!

As one of the nation’s leading environmental organizations, the Sierra Club’s endorsement underscores our commitment to building a healthier city. And it highlights our dedication to protecting our environment by opposing harmful projects like the proposed incinerator right here in Pembroke Pines.

I’ve been a vocal opponent of the incinerator, because I understand the dire consequences it could have on our air quality and on our community’s health. This endorsement is a call-to-action for us to work even harder towards our vision of creating a sustainable future for our residents and for generations to come.

Together, we will work towards building a Pembroke Pines that is not only prosperous but also environmentally responsible.

Our vision for Pembroke Pines

This past May, we started our journey together following my announcement to run for Mayor of Pembroke Pines. Today, with about 110 days left until Election Day, I feel humbled, grateful and optimistic. Thanks to your support, our campaign is on a path to victory, but there’s more work to do to achieve the vision we share for Pembroke Pines.

Since we launched the campaign, we’ve come together to discuss the issues that really matter to our community.

My commitment to serving Pembroke Pines is stronger today than ever. I’m ready to lead our city into the future by championing the key priorities which you, as residents, have asked me to pursue:

Your support has been the backbone of this campaign. As we move forward, your continued involvement is all the more important. We need your voice, your ideas, and your enthusiasm to carry our message forward.

Thank you for being part of this team. Together, let’s keep building towards a better and brighter future for the city we call home; Pembroke Pines.

Building Economic Prosperity in Pembroke Pines

Pembroke Pines is considered one of South Florida’s premier shopping and economic destinations. Much more than a highly desirable residential community, our city is a place where diverse talents and boundless economic opportunities merge. This variety of business activity is essential to our quality of life and upholds our financial ability to provide high quality services without having to tax residents more.

Homeowners tell me they want economic growth, and empowerment but not at the cost of losing our community’s character. They want an environment where businesses can flourish and residents can find meaningful employment while maintaining our traditional definition as a residential community. As your next mayor I will be focused on how we can help grow Pembroke Pines responsibly and not neglect the issues that come with it.

I am dedicated to providing the necessary assistance to help our small businesses grow and succeed. We will work to eliminate much of the unnecessary bureaucracy businesses must endure, making it easier for them to operate in Pembroke Pines.

There is an Economic Development Master Plan Draft in our city that I expect businesses to see and learn about before, not after it gets adopted. This is important because our pursuit of economic prosperity shouldn’t be some dusty report sitting on a bookcase in City Hall. It should be a pathway for residents to embrace and steer us toward a brighter economic future. Together, we can breathe new life into our city. We can move sensibly toward a thriving, dynamic, and economically vibrant city for everyone. And I can’t wait to get started. Join me and let’s make Pembroke Pines shine.

Ensuring a Safer Pembroke Pines: Together, We Can Make a Difference

Our beloved city has always been a vibrant and wonderful place to call home, but I believe that we can make it even safer and more secure for all residents. Throughout my years of dedicated service to this community, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside our law enforcement agencies, community leaders, and citizens like you. Together, we can take meaningful steps to address the challenges we face and create a safer environment for our families.

Here are some key initiatives and commitments I’m making to enhance public safety in Pembroke Pines:

  • Community-Police Partnerships: I will work tirelessly to strengthen the bonds between our community and law enforcement. By fostering open dialogue, trust, and collaboration, we can ensure that our police force is responsive to the needs and concerns of our residents.
  • Crime Prevention and Intervention Programs: We need to invest in proactive strategies to prevent crime from happening in the first place. This includes supporting youth programs, mental health services, and community outreach efforts that address the root causes of criminal behavior.
  • Effective Law Enforcement: I will advocate for equipping our law enforcement agencies with the necessary resources and training to effectively combat crime. This includes modernizing technology and providing ongoing training to our officers to handle evolving challenges.
  • Community Engagement: I believe in the power of community engagement. We must empower residents to become active participants in ensuring our city’s safety. Neighborhood watch programs, community forums, and regular meetings will be essential tools to facilitate this involvement.
  • Support for Crime Victims: Victims of crime deserve our full support. I am committed to expanding resources for victims and their families, ensuring they have access to the assistance they need during difficult times.

Our city’s safety is a shared responsibility, and I am dedicated to making sure that we have a mayor who works for you, not the other way around. Your voice matters, and your concerns are my concerns.

Thank you and let’s work together to create a safer Pembroke Pines for our families and future generations.

Let’s shape a brighter future for Pembroke Pines – together!

Nearly three decades ago, my wife Lisa and I chose Pembroke Pines as our home, captivated by its natural beauty, energy, and the rich diversity of our community.

It’s where we raised our two wonderful daughters and where I’ve had the privilege to serve you in various capacities, from the City Commission to my time working on urban challenges with the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Now, I believe there’s more work for us to do together. That’s why I’ve decided to run for Mayor of Pembroke Pines.

Our city is on the brink of a new era, and it requires visionary leadership that champions both innovation and community. As we face the challenges of the future, my commitment is to open the doors of City Hall even wider, ensuring your voice is not just heard, but integrated into our strategies.

I know that by collaborating and resisting the urge to tax our way out of every problem, we can tackle our city’s greatest challenges. That means reducing traffic, lowering taxes & fees, and building a safe and affordable future for all families.
