Pembroke Pines is considered one of South Florida’s premier shopping and economic destinations. Much more than a highly desirable residential community, our city is a place where diverse talents and boundless economic opportunities merge. This variety of business activity is essential to our quality of life and upholds our financial ability to provide high quality services without having to tax residents more.
Homeowners tell me they want economic growth, and empowerment but not at the cost of losing our community’s character. They want an environment where businesses can flourish and residents can find meaningful employment while maintaining our traditional definition as a residential community. As your next mayor I will be focused on how we can help grow Pembroke Pines responsibly and not neglect the issues that come with it.
I am dedicated to providing the necessary assistance to help our small businesses grow and succeed. We will work to eliminate much of the unnecessary bureaucracy businesses must endure, making it easier for them to operate in Pembroke Pines.
There is an Economic Development Master Plan Draft in our city that I expect businesses to see and learn about before, not after it gets adopted. This is important because our pursuit of economic prosperity shouldn’t be some dusty report sitting on a bookcase in City Hall. It should be a pathway for residents to embrace and steer us toward a brighter economic future. Together, we can breathe new life into our city. We can move sensibly toward a thriving, dynamic, and economically vibrant city for everyone. And I can’t wait to get started. Join me and let’s make Pembroke Pines shine.
